Anthony Medical Center is a 25-bed not-for-profit critical access hospital serving the needs of Anthony and the surrounding areas since 1961. Located in southern Harper County, AMC serves citizens located primarily in a six county region consisting of Harper, Barber and Sumner counties in Kansas, and Northern Woods, Grant, and Alfalfa counties in North Central Oklahoma.

The hospital is complete with 24-hour emergency department, a surgical area, procedure room, physical, occupational, and respiratory therapies, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging. Imaging services currently provided include CT, Sonography, Bone Density, X-Ray, Digital Mammography, and MRI.

Patients may be seen by one of one of the AMC practitioners on campus through the Anthony Primary Care Clinic or off-site at one of two hospital-owned and operated Rural Health Clinics located in Hardtner and Argonia, KS. Additionally several specialists travel to the on-campus Outpatient Specialty Clinic throughout the month to serve patients needing their care.

Clinics:

Our on-campus rural health clinic has approximately 8,600 patient visits each year. Patients are seen Monday through Friday and appointments are scheduled between 9:00am and 4:30pm.

Argonia Family Medicine (AFM) is located to the northeast of Anthony approximately 20 miles, just across the Harper/Sumner county line. Opened in late summer 2012, the AFM clinic is steadily gaining patients and is supported locally through the Chikaskia Health Care Board and District. Patients are currently seen in Argonia half days, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the clinic is staffed by one PA-C and one APRN.

The Anthony Wellness and Education Center at AMC held it's grand opening in April 2011. This new facility includes a Wellness Center (a complete, modern, family fitness facility), Education/Staff Training Center, new emergency bay and entrance with decontamination facilities, and a new cafeteria.

Freedom Color Run 2014

Anthony Medical Center held its first annual Fourth of July Freedom Color Run which helped raise funds for the hospital's capital campaign.

Anthony Hospital Foundation:

In addition to having broad community support, the Anthony Medical Center enjoys financial support from the Anthony Hospital Foundation. The Anthony Hospital Foundation's mission is to promote the advancement of health-care, health education and the overall medical welfare of the communities served by Anthony Medical Center. Made up of a volunteer board of 9 members and staffed by an Executive Director, the Foundation is a critical component towards raising awareness and monetary donations to benefit the entire Anthony Medical Center organization.
