Helpful information about repaying Educational Debt

All Sunflower Health Network member communities qualify for the following three programs for primary care opportunities:

Several Sunflower Health Network member communities are already approved sites for the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program and others are currently in the process of applying for approved site status. For this program, the primary care provider agrees to practice in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) for an initial 2 year commitment. After the initial 2 year commitment, provider is able to re-apply on an annual basis until the remainders of their loans are paid off. This program cannot run concurrently with any other obligations, but can be utilized once the provider's other service obligations have been met. http://nhsc.hrsa.gov/loanrepayment/

In addition to the above loan repayment options, several Sunflower Health Network members have initiated Stipend Programs in their communities. Our programs provide a monthly stipend amount, typically during the last two years of residency, and are also typically tied to a practice commitment equal to the number of months the stipend was received by the provider.
