Enjoy a traditional Family Medicine position without OB in a progressive work environment at a growing healthcare practice. This opportunity includes a four-day workweek and hospital paid malpractice coverage. The new Family Medicine physician will receive an attractive compensation package as well as fringe benefits! This position also includes optional Emergency Room call coverage for additional compensation.

We are a critical access hospital located near Wichita, KS (largest city in Kansas - 400,000). We own and operate a hospital, two rural health clinics (the main clinic is attached to the hospital) and a wellness center. We currently have one full-time physicians, one part-time physician, two full-time mid-levels (one PA-C, one APRN) and two part-time mid-levels (one PA-C, one APRN) that staff the clinics.

With the above mix, our full-time physicians only take primary ER call a few weekends a year and take back-up call every third week.

Family is the key. We think you will find that the way we staff our clinics and ER are rare. Most critical access hospitals require their physicians to take excessive primary ER call in addition to working in the clinic 4 - 5 days a week. We take our mission seriously and central to our mission is that we are a family-focused, patient-centered organization. We believe taking a little lower margin to ensure that our physicians have a life and get to spend time with their families is a key to having a successful and happy organization. Naturally, this also makes for happy patients.

We are looking for physicians that are motivated to work hard while they are at work and then go home and leave work behind as much as possible to the benefit of their families. We trust our physicians to utilize the various services to the benefit of the patient first and foremost and then to the benefit of the team (organization).

In addition to a good balance between work and family, we pay a fair, guaranteed salary with production bonus and combine that with a very generous benefits package. We pay all the premiums for health insurance, malpractice insurance and disability insurance. In addition, there is a life insurance component, PTO and separate CME time off, CME allowance, and KPERS retirement, as well as a free family membership to our hospital owned wellness/fitness center. AMC is also an approved site for the NHSC (National Health Service Corps) Loan Repayment Program and we are located in a Rural Opportunity Zone.
