North Central Kansas Health Care Foundation was formed in 1987 by citizens from around the county concerned about a critical shortage of physicians Republic County was facing and the future health care needs of the area. The Foundation's mission is to ensure the continued success of Republic County Hospital, and to make sure comprehensive health care is available for future generations of residents. The Foundation works side by side to achieve these goals.

Republic County Hospital Long Term Care (LTC) is a small 38 bed nursing facility. The LTC is adjacent to the hospital where emergency and acute healthcare services are offered. LTC has maintained a deficiency free health survey status since 1996.

Republic County Hospital serves two local medical practice clinics. Belleville Medical Clinic and Republic County Family Physicians. These two clinics are served by 4 Family Medicine Physicians and 3 nurse practitioners who provide full range of care: acute care, geriatric care, women's health services, sick and well-child care, immunizations, and other family medicine services.

Living in Belleville, Kansas (population 1,981) and Republic County (population 4,980)

Belleville is a progressive community in Republic County and North Central Kansas and is located at the crossroads of US 36 and US 81 Highways. The City of Belleville is known for its racing history at the historic 1910 era Belleville High Banks Racetrack, which is the "World's Fastest Half Mile Dirt Track", and the Belleville Midget Nationals. In 2004, the High Banks Hall of Fame and National Midget Auto Racing Museum was started to help preserve all of Belleville's racing history. Belleville also has many other great attractions including the Boyer Gallery (a museum which houses amazing animated carvings), Rocky Pond (with trout fishing in winter and Spring), and awesome art deco architecture throughout the town. Belleville is also home to the restored Blair Theatre which seeks to bring in entertainment as well as the latest 3D movies.

Republic County is also home to the Pawnee Indian Museum, and the communities of Cuba, Scandia, Narka, Courtland, Republic, Agenda, Norway, Kackley, Wayne, Talmo, and Munden. Crime is virtually nonexistent and there is never a traffic problem.
